Fairfax County Revitalization encourages and facilitates the renewal of older commercial and residential areas.
In concert with many community programs and infrastructure improvements, our initiatives strive to foster a sense of place.
On Oct. 29, 1998, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors amended the Zoning Ordinance to create five Commercial Revitalization Districts (Annandale, Bailey’s, McLean, Richmond Highway, Springfield) and two Commercial Revitalization Areas (Lake Anne, Merrifield).
