  1. Who may apply for ICP funds? Top of the Page
    For-profit businesses, nonprofit organizations, public entities, joint-venture partnerships, local revitalization organizations and real estate development ventures may apply for ICP funding.

  2. Must I live or have my business in a designated Revitalization Area or District to apply for ICP funding? Top of the Page
    An applicant must live in, have a business located within or have a project located within a Fairfax Commercial Revitalization Area to obtain ICP funding.

    ICP funding is targeted to projects and activities located within the five Fairfax County Revitalization Districts and two Revitalization Areas. Go to maps of the areas.

  3. Who do I contact to determine if my project is located within a Revitalization District or Area? Top of the Page
    Please contact the Revitalization Division of Fairfax County at 703-246-6500to speak to a staff representative regarding your project. You may e-mail inquiries to Revitalization@fairfaxcounty.gov.

  4. What can ICP funds be used for? Top of the Page
    ICP funds can be used to:
    • Acquire real property
    • Construct real property (buildings)
    • Rehabilitate existing real property (buildings)
    • Purchase and/or lease machinery and equipment
    • Fund real estate development costs
    • Fund project feasibility analyses
    • Provide working capital in concert with above activities

  5. How do I apply for ICP funding? Top of the Page
    You may submit an initial funding request by fax, mail or e-mail to the Fairfax County Revitalization Program Staff.

  6. What is the minimum ICP loan amount that I can receive?
    $5,000

  7. What is the maximum ICP loan amount that I can receive?
    $500,000

  8. Are there any credit collateral requirements for ICP funding?
    Yes. Collateral requirements will depend upon project type, terms and conditions. Generally the following collateral will be required for ICP funding:
    1. Lien on real property held by business
    2. Liens on property held personally
    3. Liens on inventory and/or accounts receivable
    4. Personal or corporate guarantees

  9. What are ICP funding terms? Top of the Page
    ICP funding terms vary according to the type of project, and type and amount of funding provided. ICP funding is flexible and can be used as:
    • A direct loan
    • A loan guarantee
    • A reduction in interest on a conventional loan
    • Equity participation in a project or purchase
