President Pronske called the meeting to order at 7:35PM.

Discussion of the BBPA Recommendations
The Board continued from the previous two meetings the discussion of the BBPA Recommendations for the Draft Comprehensive Plan.   The discussion focused on “open space”, the view shed, Sub Area 2 and the method used for specifying residential density.   The Board reached the following conclusions:

• Open space:   the Board will ask the County to explain how the 15% minimum open space number was determined and ask if a higher minimum could be considered.
• View shed:   the Board recognizes that applying the view shed guideline defined previously would preclude a high-rise in Sub Area 3; the County will be advised that this issue has pros and cons.  
• Sub Area 2:   the Board will ask for clarification on the rationale for residential density and building heights in comparison with other Sub Areas
• Residential density specification:   the Board noted that the BBPA report defined residential density in terms of square feet rather than dwelling units per acre, and used   1,650 SF as the average area per dwelling.   The Board will ask the County if this method would have the disadvantage of allowing more, but smaller, dwelling units to be built than intended, and if it might impact the ability to provide workforce and Section 8 housing.
