Community Meetings on Hunter Mill, Lake Anne Set for Next Two Weeks
From the Times Community Newspapers
June 1, 2005

Two important community meetings are scheduled for the next two weeks.

The first meeting of the Hunter Mill Special Study group will be held Tuesday, June 7. This meeting will focus on process issues, establish ground and voting rules, discuss an approach to charrettes or other facilitated processes, and approve future meeting schedules.

The meeting will be held at South Lakes High School, 11400 South Lakes Drive, in the Yellow Cafeteria, from 7 to 9 p.m.

On June 16, 17 and 18, Catherine M. Hudgins, the Hunter Mill supervisor, will host the Lake Anne Revitalization Charrette. This three-day, intensive planning workshop is designed to build consensus for the residents, merchants and other community stakeholders on ways to enhance design of the Lake Anne Revitalization area.

Meeting times and places are June 16 and 17, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the Hunters Woods branch of the Reston Community Center, 2310 Colts Neck Road; June 16, 7 to 9 p.m., at Lake Anne Elementary School, 11510 North Shore Drive; and June 18, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., also at Lake Anne Elementary School.

For other information, contact Goldie Harrison or Alisha Dickason, of Hudgins' office, at 703-478-0283.
