Focus Groups News
Through the month of October and into early November, Supervisor Penelope Gross, Mason District, and the Fairfax County Department of Housing and Community Development, will hold 9 focus groups to gather input from community members, neighbors, users of local services and business and property owners. The Southeast Quadrant of Bailey’s Crossroads is designated as a revitalization area by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. The county is looking for ways to encourage economic development in the area and plans to develop an economic development strategy that reflects community values and complements improvements in surrounding neighborhoods.
Focus groups will discuss what they like about the living, working, worshiping or recreational environment in the Bailey’s area; what they would like to see changed; and what they would like protected. Information gathered at the groups will be used to develop specific ideas for economic development at a design charrette on Saturday, Nov. 19.
For more information, download the flyers, which are also available in several languages.
