Springfield Cultural
Center
The Springfield Cultural Center is a group of visual and performing
artists, business people, academics and local residents interested in a center
for the arts in the Springfield.
The objectives of the group are:
History
Formed in the summer of 2000, the Springfield Cultural Center is a 501(c)3
organization that is working to build a multipurpose cultural facility
to serve Northern Virginia and the metropolitan Washington area from its
location
in
Springfield. Among the facilities envisioned for the center are theaters,
galleries, art studios, classrooms and community rooms.
The Springfield Cultural Center will be a multipurpose performance and
visual arts facility serving Northern Virginia from its strategic location
in Central
Springfield. The Center will energize, enable and strengthen the cultural
life of the community.
